Merry madeとは

Merry madeは、「眠れない夜を、いちばん優しい夜に変える服」を届けるウール専門の子ども用品・産後ウェアブランドです。自然素材であるウールの通気性・吸放湿性・体温調整機能に着目し、赤ちゃんの敏感な肌と、産後ママの揺らぎやすいからだを同時にいたわることを目指しています。大量生産ではなく、小さなアトリエから生まれる少量生産にこだわることで、一枚ごとに仕立てや肌当たりをチェックし、安心して毎日袖を通していただけるプレミアムな日常着だけをお届けします。

ブランドストーリー

Merry madeという名前には、「Mary Had a Little Lamb」の羊＝ウールへのオマージュと、「Mama」の頭文字であるMへの想いを込めています。生まれたばかりの小さなからだと、出産を乗り越えたばかりの大きなからだ。そのどちらもが、いちばん守られるべき存在だと私たちは考えています。

だからこそ、素材は呼吸する天然ウールに限定し、チクチクしない極細繊維のみを厳選。肌に直接触れる部分はできるだけ縫い目を減らし、必要な箇所にはやわらかな縫製仕様を採用しています。染色や加工も、赤ちゃんと産後ママの肌への影響を考慮した方法を選び、安全性の確認を重ねています。

「心まで休まる一枚があれば、夜は少しだけ優しくなる。」Merry madeは、そんな願いを胸に、快適なカジュアルウェアで親子の眠りと回復の時間をそっと支えるブランドであり続けます。

Merry madeのウールウェアは、少人数のアトリエで一枚ずつ仕立てています。デザイナーであり一児の母でもあるオーナーが、自身の産後経験をいかして「夜中の授乳やお世話の時間こそ、いちばん優しくあってほしい」という願いを形にしました。赤ちゃんとお母さんの肌に触れる部分はとくに縫い目やタグ位置まで細かくチェックし、毎日着られる“心ほどける日常着”を目指しています。

産院で長く勤務してきた助産師が、Merry madeの監修として参加しています。産後の冷えや寝不足、授乳や抱っこが続く身体の変化を知り尽くしているからこそ、「ここがもう少しゆとりがあると楽」「ここに肌当たりのやさしいウールを」といった具体的なアドバイスを反映。からだをしめつけない設計と、夜間も動きやすいディテールで、回復をそっと後押しするリカバリーウェアを一緒に作り上げています。

赤ちゃんの肌は、大人の約半分の薄さと言われています。その繊細な肌を守るため、ウール素材の選定にはテキスタイルの専門家が関わり、チクチクしない極細番手のウールだけを採用。通気性・吸放湿性・保温性などを実験データと着用テストの両方で確認し、夏も冬も快適な温度に保てるよう、目の詰まり具合や生地の厚みまで調整しています。
